A family-owned company with deep roots in Northern Colorado and a long-tenured workforce built on loyalty and craftsmanship.
Nearly 30 years with the company before assuming principal ownership in 2022. Jake leads client relationships, estimating partnerships, and the culture Randy Carey established when he founded Big Horn in 1980.
Rhonda helped Randy start and run Big Horn Masonry from the beginning. After his passing in 2010, she led the company for roughly ten years — keeping operations steady, honoring Randy’s standards, and guiding the transition of ownership to Jake in 2022. Her influence is still woven through how we treat people and how we show up for clients.
Coordinates scheduling, GC communication, estimating, and day-to-day execution on commercial and institutional work across the region.
Amy handles accounts payable, payroll, and insurance administration among many other things that keep Big Horn running day to day.
Our foremen run the wall. Many have been with Big Horn for 15 to 30+ years — a depth of experience that general contractors count on when schedules are tight and details matter.
Long-tenured foreman on schools, municipal buildings, and negotiated commercial work across the Front Range. Leads crews on projects from Weld RE-4 and Frederick Public Works to detailed brick and ground-face block — steady production and clean finishes on CMU and veneer.
Oversees large-scale veneer and structural masonry on complex sites — recreation centers, institutional additions, and fast-track envelopes.
Leads education and commercial work including STEM campuses and repeat school-district partnerships in Northern Colorado.
Bob’s son. Leads stone masons on restoration and campus work — including CU Boulder historic restoration — where specialized skill and tight tolerances matter.
Known for high-visibility brick work on education and public-safety buildings, including performing arts and fire station projects.
Leads production masonry on commercial and institutional work — dependable field leadership on demanding schedules and detailed veneer.

Rudy was our head operator for close to twenty years. We are grateful for his service and the spirit he brought to Big Horn Masonry.
